First off, click on your start menu, then move your mouse to "All Programs". At the top, you should see "Windows Update", like this:
Once you have clicked on Windows Update, a webpage will come up. It may take a couple of seconds, but when done, you should see the following. Click on "Scan for Updates" when it is available for you to click on:
Once you do this, Windows will check for available updates. This could take several minutes. Be patient, and eventually you will see this:
Once that comes up, click on "Review and install updates". This should take you right to a page that has a list of updates, and an Install Now button:
Click on "Install Now", and the updates will start to install. However, you may see a box like the following. If you do, click on "Accept EULA":
That's all you need to do. Make sure to run Windows Update at least once a week, just like McAffee Virus Scan updates.
